Why The Gnostic Order of Christ?
| "A teaching can survive if it is taught. When a person takes vows, these vows are taken to the divinity which resides within. As Plato wrote "a life unexamined is not worth living." Thus one must ask one's own self why... To what do you give allegiance, to an organization or to the teaching? My answer was to the teaching.... My examination led me to the realization that the teaching is the parent and the many schools the off-spring. The Teaching is eternal while the schools are temporary."
"The Gnostic Order of Christ was formed to teach the Ancient Teachings. The value of the Ancient Teachings is measured by the internal benefit experienced by its adherents. This benefit is shared by society through the acts of service which the adherents perform. Societies evolve one person at a time." |
